Since 1931, Zerica has been designing and manufacturing refrigeration systems for water and beverage dispensing, turning the entrepreneurial vision of the Zerilli family into an internationally recognized industrial company.

Nearly a century of research, evolution, and continuous innovation.

From Sicily to global markets, Zerica develops refrigeration systems and dispensers designed to deliver performance, efficiency, and sustainability.

Today Zerica operates in more than 30 countries, supported by a global sales network and constant technical assistance, including remote support. Because innovation is not a destination — it is a journey that keeps flowing.

In-house design and manufacturing

Every Zerica refrigeration and water dispensing system is developed by our internal research and development team.

Our goal is to bring distinctive solutions to the market, combining advanced technologies with exclusive patents. Each product is engineered with meticulous attention to ensure reliability, safety and ease of use, while also enabling fast and efficient service and maintenance.

The entire Zerica production process takes place at our Termini Imerese headquarters in Sicily and includes:

1931

The first refrigeration system is developed. Frigotecnica Zerilli is founded.

1960

The first ZERILLI drinking fountain is launched, placing the company among the pioneers of this sector in Italy.

1971
A portable professional refrigerated beverage cart is introduced — the first of its kind in industrial production worldwide, designed by Joe Colombo.
1976

The first under-counter refrigeration unit is introduced to the market.

1980
The company adopts the name Zerica.
Its mission: to create increasingly innovative and distinctive products.
1981
Zerica develops the first “no-stagnation” refrigeration system, later becoming a global industry standard under the name Direct Chill.
1982
Zerica introduces Baby, the smallest bottled water dispenser in the world.
1984
Zerica adopts antibacterial copper in the production of its refrigeration systems.
1987
Zerica patents the HPDC system, still today the only technology capable of cooling beverages in just 3 minutes, with significant energy savings.
1995

The U40 model is introduced — the smallest under-counter refrigeration unit in the world, a record it still holds today.

1999
Zerica launches the first GPLUS model, the only bar refrigeration system designed for both under-counter and countertop installation.
2010
EAQUA is introduced — the first all-in-one countertop model for home use, operating with either a direct water connection or an internal water tank.
2011
To celebrate the company’s 80th anniversary, Zerica presents BIT, a prototype featuring induction controls and a display inspired by aerospace technology.
2013
FUTURA is introduced — a revolutionary system for dispensing still and sparkling cold water.
Not only the most compact on the market, but also one of the safest in terms of hygiene, with virtually no maintenance required.
2014
Zerica patents the Pour Fast technology.
2015
With Bevila Natura, Zerica enters the non-alcoholic beverage market.
2019

The natural refrigerant R600a gas is introduced.

PIC 4.0 is also launched — a breakthrough open-source system for remotely controlling any connected device.

2019

Kolumna is introduced, the first dispensing tap with telemetry and IoT integration.

2020
NEW Auxilia is introduced — Zerica’s IoT remote monitoring and management system.
2021
With i-Wall, Zerica wins two Red Dot Awards for design and smart product.
2022
With Smart Top, Zerica receives two additional Red Dot Awards for design and technology — marking two consecutive years of recognition.
2023
Mix&Go! is introduced — an innovative dispenser for mixing cocktails and beverages.
Zerica enters the alcoholic beverage market.
2024

Zerica develops Tap2Drink, an NFC technology for beverage dispensing.

2025

Zerica patents the Auxilia Box, designed to bring full connectivity and remote management online.

2026

A new look, the same spirit.
The new visual identity is more than a symbol — it reflects Zerica’s journey, its evolution, and the vision that continues to drive the company forward.

Sikelia 5.0 introduces the new 5.0 system, featuring a fully customizable multifunction touchscreen designed for a simpler and more intuitive user experience.
Exclusive feature: simultaneous filling of two bottles or two glasses.

Supra Slim introduces the new SENSE system, with an elegant interface and touch controls seamlessly integrated into the glass surface.
